CISO Masterclass website
A premium website the client runs entirely on their own. A full redesign of cisomasterclass.nl, delivered as a custom WordPress theme. Every text, date, price, teacher, quote and photo is editable in wp-admin, so no developer is needed for day-to-day changes.

CISO Masterclass is a three-day masterclass for security leaders, taught by two former CISOs. Their website had to match that premium level, but it also had to stay on their existing WordPress hosting, and the owners needed to update editions, prices, the programme and cursist quotes themselves, without calling a developer each time.
I first designed and built the new site in Next.js to get the look exactly right: a warm serif design, light and dark mode, scroll reveals and a scrolling highlights strip. Then I ported it one-to-one into a custom WordPress theme with custom post types for teachers, quotes, publications and photos, ACF fields for the home page, programme, pricing and location, a custom "page content" editor in wp-admin, and Gravity Forms restyled to match the design. All effects run on lightweight vanilla JavaScript.
The client got a fast, modern website that looks like a premium product and still feels familiar to manage. New editions, price changes, quotes and photos are handled in the WordPress dashboard they already know. A headless variant (Next.js reading the WordPress API with instant cache refresh) is ready for when they want even more speed.
How it works
Design in code
Built the complete site in Next.js first, so the client could click through the real design before a line of PHP was written.
Port to WordPress
Rebuilt every page as a custom theme: 15 page templates, Tailwind v4 compiled at build time, no page builder.
Make everything editable
Custom post types, ACF field groups and a custom page-content tool, so every text, list and image can be managed in wp-admin.
One-click launch
A built-in seeder creates all pages, menus and content and imports the photos into the Media Library. It's safe to re-run and never overwrites the live pages.
